What's a Smile

A smile is a mask we wear
So others think we really care
To make a person unaware
They're caught up in a wire snare

A smile is to those that see it
A welcome invitation
Often times sinister, be it
Leading to your damnation

When animals besides mankind
Grin and bare their pearly whites
It doesn't mean they're happy

They're saying that if you don't mind
They're gonna get you with some bites
Your day will soon turn crappy

Funny thing, I'm smiling now
It shows an oddball wisdom
So nice to get these words wrote down
And purge them from my system
